I disagree completely.

Badge zealots make up a very small section of the market.

For have consistantly offered products that demonstrate more power than the badge, "option H" are often the reverse.

While ever Ford badges are less than "option H" badges the screaming wowsers have nowhere to go.

Recent history;
F6 released and quoted as "greatest torque ever offered", media screams and rants.
W427 released and quoted as most powerful car in Aus history, media coos and burbles like a baby.

Previous history;

The supercar scare that stuffed everthing was not about the Torana GTR XU2 nor the Charger E55, it was the Phase IV GTHO that was the antichrist and Ford were the axis of evil.

"option H" had to release a $150k limited edition to outpace a $70k F6 and it does not take much at all to enhance an F6 to even the odds if that is where you want to play.

"option H" and FPV have very different market sectors which become very obvious quite quickly during conversations with various owners.
