i'm sure no one in that test did knowingly speed once they realised that the RTA would see their logs. ok, a fine for you for last week when you over took a bus load of nuns in a school zone.....

... also it wouldn't take long for the RTA to work out where people are doing the speeding and put a camera there for those who don't have the device.

the device will need to be in contact with a database to find out what limits/roads have changed (like they do with speed traps). of course, that means it can tell them if you've been speeding at the same time.
