I don't spend too much time pondering why a part is priced like it is, I sell it so I can get paid, any soul searching can be done by someone else.
The bottom line, if you don't like it, buy your stuff elsewhere?
One other thing, Mazda/Ford parts, you buy Ford parts, put them on a Mazda then try getting warranty coverage when they fail
