I think what he will do, and what I would have done with enough time and money is to use the BF door frame, and transplant the FG outer door skin onto the frame. Would effectively have a smoothed out, flatter BF door with the updated handles, with no more door mould, and the FG contour/crease on the bottom edge of both side doors. He would then need to widen the car's floor pan or make a custom wide skirt, as BA/BF bottom edge of door curls in towards the skirt, while FG is slab-sided. The glass and upper part of door has to be BF-shaped to physically fit into BF shell.
