You think fuel savings is going to be cheap, don't think so as electricity is going to be like we now pay for petroleum products, Big $$$ it is happening now.
They will have to build considerably new power networks around the world to cope with demand.
In my opinion private transport is going to be very dear in the future for the average person.

If electricity does skyrocket then this will cause what the industry call a death spiral. People will buy solar and batteries to go off the grid as it's cheaper. If this increases the prices then more people will go off the grid or sell to the utility.
A household could be energy independent and sell their excess.
No more relying on Middle eastern oil or utilities..
