If we take our political lense off, it seems pretty clear all levels had a role in trying to pull a shifty on the public by trying to "sneak" them in. The other two got through no problems on the same documents. Joker tweeted, public found out, game over. He'll be sent home.
In any rate, our reputation has been tarnished. Wimbledon and Roland Garros have come out and said they will allow unvaxxed players to participate, without exemptions. They may just need to do some quarantine. Others will do the same. To add insult to injury, we have one of the fastest growing covid case rate in the world, so we can't even use the "we've handled it the best" as a justification.
