Xrp is on the rise. I did a bit more reading on the SEC case, and granted, I'm not that smart, but I really dont understand the SECs argument. I even asked chat gpt to summarise it, and to me it doesnt make sense. Sure, people WANT returns, but so does someone playing the pokies 10 beers deep. I dont think that same gambler expects he owns the machine if he puts a couple of grand into it with no return. Noone buys any crypto with the expectation of it being akin to shares. That's what the stock market is for, and it's almost the opposite of the crypto idea.
I'd genuinly be interested to hear a pro SEC argument from someone not holding any crypto, because it seems like they're just trying to cancel crypto as a whole without any real argument as to why. I hope ripple wins obviously, if they don't and it tanks all crypto, what happens then? Thousands of people go broke, and most of the money vanishes to fines, payable to the SEC? Again, not that smart. Can someone simplify it and add any reasonable argument for the other side? It also seems like ripples argument is along the lines of "how dumb can you be?"
