So the Dorman part 918-777 is a repackaged genuine GM (Chinese made) 55568386 part.

Irritation is deserved for the convoluted delivery via Fleabay’s “Expedited International Shipping” (EIS) which saw it sit in Australia for twelve days between arrival and delivery. This fiasco cost around $190 bought and delivered. I could buy another one from RockAuto and have it delivered next Monday for $120 inclusive. Another lesson learned.

Next hurdle is to buy and butcher a 15/16” open-ender (or combination spanner) for service as a cam counterhold tool. It’s timed up, but the angle torque setting is too great for the cam indexing plate to hold by itself.
