I'm trying to install a aftermarket CD player but cant get the factory unit out, Where can you buy the proper tools to remove it? I rang ford parts and they said they dont have anythign but to try coat hanger wires ect, have it a try but nothing, and i dont wanan force it out and brake it
anyone know what to od or where to buy the tool to tkae it out? and whats the tool called? thanks mitch |

Whereabouts are you?
If close to Langwarrin in Vic you can come round as I have a set of removal tools that we could use to get your stereo out. Otherwise Autobarn might pop it out for free ( or at a small cost ) if you drive the car round to their install bay and ask nicely!!!! They have the tools on E-bay every now and then for $8 and they are called stereo removal tools. |

Auto electrician or autobarn...
Autobarn is the go trust me 1 minute after a good hour of stuffing with it with no luck |

any audio install place should do it, othewise ebay sells the tools.
Because you tried the coat hangers you may have stuffed the tabs making it near impossible to get out, I have removed a lot of these headunits but when a customer has stuffed the tabs it's a nightmare to get the headunit out |
