I've got a small 'gash' on the bottom corner of my drivers door (caused by a power tool) the gash is about the width of a 5c piece and 1-2mm deep. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice for fixing it (bogging it up?) and whether I could do that and then touch it up with some touch up paint. Is it a good idea to fix and paint it this way, or would I have to get a panel beater to fix the gash and spray paint the bottom half of the door.
The damage area is pretty small but if you know its there its a real pain, as the bottom of the gash catches light and it really stands out. The paint is in excellent condition on the car so Id rather not get it re-painted if I dont have to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Rob. |

I would just wash it, then touch up paint it.
After all you can only keep cars that dont get driven spotless. |

I went over it with some touch up paint, which did make a difference but Id like to fix it if theres a relatively simple way. If not I'll have to take it into the panel beater at some point.
