Exclamation throttle position sensor

we have au 3 sr wagon we change the battery and now it stalls at round about it idles ok when put in gear it playes up autobox but when i unplug the throttle sensor out it comes good

seems strange, how long ago did you change the battery?

Its normal for a car to run roughly for a few hunge k's after a ECU reset, but not sure that i have heard of it being sorted by d/c the TPS, so we might need more input here

there is a procedure to follow after ECU rest that will get the car running properly before driving any where. theres a thread on it here somewhere, just havent looked for it as yet. The car needs to learn the driving style again after a reset so just leave everything plugged in (you can actually bring up trouble codes if you go unplugging things left right and center) and drive it normally, as mentioned above, it will come good in a couple hundred ks.

Yep you should not be disconnecting the TPS, it will cause it to run at higher rpm due to a fault code being listed.

So disconnect the battery again for over an hour and then re connect it and do the re leard procedure.
