To be a bit more specific, im assuming you are swapping the au fascia piece?
Your right to do so, its one of the worst parts of the au1. Once you get your hands on your au2/3 fascia piece you will need to go to the wreckers and get the following: The plugs for each part of the heater unit with ~ 10 cm of wire hanging out the back au2/3 clock with plug and loom au2/3 vacuum lines au2/3 heater cable Lukily ford has made this rather straight forward. Cut off your old au1 plug and splice in your new au 2 plugs. there should be 3 I think, 2 on heater controls and one for clock. Its easy enough as its all colour coded. You WILL have left over wires. Just tape them up and move on. Now remove your old au1 vacuum lines and heater cable, insert au2/3 vac lines and heater cable. Put all back together and your done! Upgrade complete :-) |
