Hey,
Broke an engine mount, so replaced them both - now have a real bad vibration when stopped with foot on brake in R or D. in neutral or with any revs the vibration is gone.... Car has new engine mounts, never vibrated before they were replaced - any ideas? |

yes the gearbox mount is actually called the rear engine mount for some strange reason but my guess is the rear mount was stressed when the engine was moving around

placing the trolley jack under the gearbox mount doesnt make a difference to it - mount looks to be perfect

sounds like you might have developed the notorious AU idle issue

quite possibly you couldn't feel the idle problem with a sloppy engine mount, but once you got it replaced the stiffness of the mount transfers the idle problem through to your right foot effectively
i've got modified EL engine mounts on mine cos they last longer but are harder, so any idle problems i have are even more apparent than they would normally be
