Thumbs up Re: Happy Easter - Christos Anesti

Hope everyone's had a blessed day.

We had church and then a large Greek family gathering. As usual, I ate too much, today even having a bit of a snooze afterwards! He he he! Good times!

Shalom,

GK

I only know english, so Happy Easter all, and to all those Orthodox Christians celebrating Easter at the same time this year, you must be glad there's only one Easter this year (eggs are getting bloody expensive!!)

On a side note, we thought we'd nick down to the 7.30Pm mass last night to beat the crush at church this morning. The church was full, but not over full (a few spare seats), and I know why - the vigil mass went for 2 and a bit hours, and included 4 readings, 2 responsorial psalms, 2 baptisms, 4 first communions, and a couple of confirmations as well; the gospel didn't get a look in until the 90 minute mark! Funny though, I still enjoyed it, and marvelled at the age of some of the people joining the church - I reckon 2 were in their 40s, and one older than that - and they say the church (Catholic) is declining.
