Default Price for? TC Cortina Wagon 200ci

Hey all.

Whats a decent price for a green TC Cortina Wagon, quad headlight, bonnet bulge, 200ci motor, I think it was an auto. Only lightly touched with rust, but the important part it's all complete all original, no panel damage apart from a light dent in the passenger rear door from being reversed into lightly. It even has the original (to my knowledge) black and white plates.

So based on that scare info, what can you all tell me?

Eric

I would expect sell price could run up to 5k as a tidy runner with RWC. In this case I would anticipate well under half that based on limited info (on top of that in the photos looks like it has not moved for quite a while). Buy price - cheapest I could get it, but I personally would not go past 1k at a stretch based on available info.

My opinon only based on what I have seen these go for over the years. Only being a "L" does not help the case - XL/E would ordinarily command a premium.

fair price rather than a steal.

who knows what going to be required to get it legal and reliable. might just need a few basic items or could be a basketcase.

and its not like its a highly sought after model.

This is true. The thing going for it is it's complete, and original. I'm pretty sure TC's are the most sought after cortinas aren't they?

Every model is most sought after when you can't find one.........
....and then when you have found that elusive vehicle, you stumble across many in a short space of time.

But seriously, I have not seen many TC or TD Cortinas listed anywhere, and only the odd wagon or two.

Something like that rear window rubber may be difficult to find, Headlight/wiper/fan switches, Usually broken, replacements?

Looks like it could be a very nice car with a little attention
Bung in an XE/XF 4.1L engine(keep the old one if you want to put it back to original)

does it smell like it leaks water?

Interesting that it's an "L" but has a left mirror
