The event details lodged last weekend still haven't appeared on the Events page , so here they are.....
Only 4 weeks to go !!!!! Registration closes 7 October ---------------------------------------------------------- The ACT Small Ford Owners Club is once again organising the Classic Small Ford Muster in Canberra to be held on 26-28 October. (IIRC this year is the 14th time !!). This is a great event over Friday night to Sunday lunchtime, including observation runs, a trivia night, lots of socialising, show'n'shine, with prizes and raffles alomg the way. Canberra is blessed with great local roads and easy access to interesting country drives. There are usually 50+ cars and 70+ people attending, with a number of interstate faces reappearing each year. Any small Ford is welcome to participate, with previous entries covering Escort, Cortina, Capri coupe and convertibles, Focus, Anglia and even a Zephyr from Qld one year. Attendees come from ACT, VIC, NSW and even QLD. An accommodation package is available at the Trivia Night venue (See Registration details). Event details can be found on the club website (http://www.actsmallfordowners.org/2012%20Muster.htm). Registration closes 7 October. Look forward to seeing you all there, Allan Founding Club Member and owner Capri Mk1 3000GT. |

Neale,
Love to see you. One of our local people has a Mk1 Cortina, he needs your mutual support. Numbers are starting to come up, but always the more the merrier. A couple of years ago we had the Hunter Classic Ford guys, along with ....a Cortina Mk2 Crayford ... oooH aaahhh !!! |

I will get the entry sorted soon.
I have also given the event a plug with www.fordxr5turbo.com, the XR4 Group, Cortina mk1 Owners Club & the RSOC. I will also try & drag down a few guys from the Small Ford Car Club NSW Last edited by Neale; 29-09-2012 at 02:55 PM. |

Yep....http://www.classic-ford.org/...is offline.
Was working late yesterday afternoon around 5-ish. I've posted this event over there as well (with reminders posted yesterday) in the Cortina, Escort, Capri and Events forums. Any classic small ford welcome - be it young (e.g. Focus RS) or old (Angle-boxes too!) Neale - Thanks for the posts on the other sites. We normally see some people from the various Sydney region clubs. More the merrier !!!!! |

Received the following from the event primary organiser yesterday (8th).....
Just to let you know that it is now only 3 weeks until the Muster and we have extended the registration date until Sunday 21 October so you still have time to get your form in. Looks like the Events section is not getting updated all the time ...... |

I'll be heading up to this event from Melbourne. Was planning on taking my Capri, but my girlfriend doesn't want to travel all that way in a 41 year old car so looks like I'll be a spectator only in my 5 years old XR4 Fez.
Should be a good weekend going on past years events (this is my first time, but fellow club members have been raving about it for years.) Looking forward to checking out Canberra again after 2o years. |

good to hear your bringing the fez. just because its a newer car doesnt mean you have to be on the sideline. Its for all Small Fords & you wont be the odd one out in a late model car.
I'm comming along with a couple of guys in the SFCC NSW. One is driving a 2004 focus the other is in a RS Focus. |

Fiesta is most welcome !!!!
We do tend to see mostly the older small fords, but we have had a couple of Focus RS's turn up 2yrs ago (lots ot interest from lookers) - Neales friend? It just tends to be the range of people looking for these types of events. No age discrimination applies, the more the merrier. Only requirements are enthusiasm and respect for others. If you like, I can leave my 42yr old Capri at home and bring my 2yr old XR5 ..... |

BTW - I've tried posting this event on the Forum Events page a number of times but it is not working for me. I've asked the Forum Moderators to investigate. |

Here are a few pics from the weekend..
As you can see from the pics I didn't end up taking the corty down on the weekend. When I went to start it up on the Saturday morning the ignition barrel fell apart & the spring inside in fired the guts of it through the dash & foot well. After about 30min of buggering around with it I got it back together & hit the road to Canberra. My luck didn't last long when a coupe of blocks from home it did it again. So after another 30 min of trying to get it back together I gave up, went back to get the Focus & then headed off to Canberra. It was a great weekend catching up with some old friends & meeting some new ones. I will be along to this one next year!! |

We had an excellent time and will definately going again next year.....but in an older car. The Fez was fun on the runs but not really built for 1300klm round trips, the suspension is way too firm.
Great photos. I took more of canberra than the cars (not big on car shows) Was good to meet some new people. A good bunch of folks and without doubt is the best run event I've ever been to (and that includes 17 small ford Sunday's!!!) Definately on the calendar for next year. |

I would give my left nut for an Escort like that white one in the last few pics.
Looked like a great turnout and fun day.
