I've posted this in AU to BA but thought this forum might be better.
Howdy, I've tried to find the answer to this to no avail. At the moment my AU III Futura, which is factory dual fuel, is stalling when I take my foot off the pedal. Not all the time, just half the time, hot and cold. It idles very smoothly, drives perfectly, and starts fine. It just seems to do it when coming down the freeway or when I have the family in the car and I come to intersections in 100kmh zones or in any other zone when inconvenient. You know what I mean. I don't expect a diagnosis of the problem, but would appreciate any input on where to start looking. It's driving me nuts and my wife uses the car to ferry the little fella around and it really worries me. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all, but, I think it comes on after servicing?? We just a service and now it's doig it more than before. Also, the fuel pump is broken, so using petrol is difficult right now. Any help appreciated. Cheers! |

Okay, so tell me this, is the idle sweet? Listen to the exhaust, is it smooth, or is it a bit lumpy?
Put your hand slightly over the snorkel, do the revs pick up and does the car become smoother? Basically what i'm saying is i think your converter needs a re-kit.
