Is there anything I can add to prevent the noise from the reverse light power from causing my rear view camera feed to flicker?

Hi, the part I bought only helped the problem a little bit and I still get interference. I’m considering getting a voltage regulator which would work much better to smooth out the power. Sorry I couldn’t be of help.
I think the part I bought was really just a fancy capacitor which in theory should work for most applications, it just didn’t work for me.

When fitting LED's into you lighting system ect you MUST also install a LED load resistor on each light feed. For instance, I have all LED rear lights on my ute tray and used Narva's and without these fitted into each feed line they will flicker especially the indicators. I have 3, one for indicators, one for tail lights and one for reverse lights which also provides power to 3 rear cameras. They are spliced into the factory harness and mounted on a alloy plate see bottom left of pic. You can get them from Supercheap. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Pro...21-Watt/287170 Last edited by ozrunner; 22-07-2018 at 10:35 PM. |

How about using the reverse lights to switch a relay that then powers the camera/setup, it would be an alternative way to do it and also a way for testing if that LED's are causing interference. (That also makes it possible to add a button to turn on the reverse camera whenever you like, even when not in reverse)

These tail lights are not just LED bulbs. They are a whole assembly. They came with 10W rated resistors, quite heavy, for each side. If I leave them unplugged the car gives me a tail light fault warning. With them plugged in, no warning. I might just have to go with the relay option but where can I get power from?
