Did some project work for said company recently on this particular project, explains the volumes they were talking about.

This sort of stuff supports plenty of other companies within the manufacturing sphere locally.

I wonder how this is going to effect VDC's relationship with Ford USA as they are now competition.

Ford Australia stepped in and blocked a deal between one of the second stage manufacturers and Ford USA once - the fact they have partnered up now with one is amazing.

never say never. Once the RHD conversion process is worked out I'm sure we will see Raptor and Lightning. In the meantime 3.5 twin turbo ecoboost is hardly a slouch is it?

No slouch but @$2 plus a litre, I'm not keen. The lightning version, I'd buy in a heartbeat. And once you drive the smoothness and effortless acceleration of an EV, it's hard to go back.

I imagine one reason the Lightning is a no goer because of voltage.
It basically can be used as a generator to power a worksite or even your house in a blackout.
That's not really going to be compatible here.

Simple enough to change. That isn't a show stopper at all.

I think it will be best if we keep it all in the one thread
