I just bought myself a 1994 Fairmont Ghia!
Taken it for a spin, and its beautiful! It has a few minor dints and scratches, and a few things that rattle when driving, but I will be fixing them up soon. The drivers power window doesn't work... It goes up but doesn't go down properly. I think it may be a dodgy switch. How do I fix this, and how much will it cost? how do i post pics?

I've noticed you've had a few double-threads occurring lately! Don't ya hate it when that happens...
/on topic --> congrats on the purchase mate! If it goes up but doesn't go down properly, it wouldn't be the switch. Probably best to take the doorskin off and grease up the rails (and get any crap out of them.) -Dave- |

Don't use grease on the rails - use silicon spray on the window rubbers. It's about $15 a can and will do about 16 windows (ie lasts a while).

Could be the switch, pull it apart and clean it out, you'd be amazed how much crap ends up in there.

Yeah I hear a clunk when I press the button...
Sorry for the late reply... I can't stop bloody driving! Cd player isn't working either. It's the premium system, and it turns on and selects the CDs, but just won't play. I think maybe it just isn't reading them. Meh? Also the door handles are painted a lighter colour than the rest of the car. I assume this isn't normal as it looks wierd. Not bad, just... wierd. Cobalt is such a nice colour...

Thanks guys...
The car has a sticker on the windscreen from the last service, which has a caption on it which says: "Items for attention at next service: 9 6 3 7 3 9 3 3" What does that mean?

They're coming, they're coming!
I emailed them to Minge so he could put them up, but I got back a delay message...
