Thumbs up MK 1 Escort 6 Dial Tacho wiring

I need some advice please!!! :togo:

Where does the tacho wire/connect too? :

I am converting my standard 2 dial dash to a 6 dial one. Everything but the tacho works fine.

I just need to know where the little white wire at the rear connects too please??

Any diagrams?

many thanks

in my experience, tachos usually run a four wire system,

Red to accessory, Black to ground, Green to negative side of coil, and White to your illumination (i'd wire this one up with the instrument globes that fire up when the headlights are on)

I just held the 6 dial against the metal, drew around it in texta and started cutting.

Filed to smooth off, job done.

Re connection of the Tacho....the little white wire on the tacho plugs straight into the loom at the back of the dash There is a blacck wire that has a bullet type connector....the white wire plugs into that : you can't get it wrong.....
