Default Mk2 struts

Hi

Looking at putting Mk2 struts in a mk1 track day car. If we were to use mk2 struts would we need the mk2 control arms, crossmember and are the brakes a lot bigger??

Thanks

dont know about the wheel alignment problems

the ratio might be better in the rack and pinion

the lower ball joint looked the same in the MK 1 as the mark 2 to me

sounds like a very good mod

i believe the ball joints are actually a different size..
if its for a track car try getting a set of complete capri sttruts,
bigger brakes and larger diameter post, these will fit straight into a mk1
