Hey guys,
I currently have on my Ford Falcon Series 1, 2.5inch exhaust, extractors, cold-air induction, ECU flash upgrade and a Crow Cam... Would it be worth getting a dual exhaust.. What are the pros and cons if any? |

It would be a fair wad of cash, and Id say it would be LOUD, and probably drony.

I have a twin system on my ute, was already on it when i bought it. As far as i know you can't buy 'standard' twin systems, so yeah a custom one will be a bit pricey. As for loudness, its fairly quiet, has a nice note at idle and can really hear it when you plant the foot. No droning at all

AU Sedans and wagons have a plastic fuel tank on the passenger side!
Not a good with an exhaust next to it! |

Much more freedom with utes though ... twins dumped at the rear axle would sound tough.

on the 6's, why not put a stock xr8 system on? it seems to be working for the BA's. has anyone attempted it on an Au 6?
sure some custom piping would need to be done, like a custom flange/cat etc but who knows.

why would you want to put a twin system on an i6? save your money and fit a sticker to each side of your car, reading in massive letters ****ER. I think this will have the same effect.

Alright, sure, completely uncalled for on my behalf. All I'm saying is it would be a waste of money, there would be no gains over a decent single system on a i6. If this idea is just for looks, get a decent single system and a twin tip. It'll workout alout cheaper and have same effect

Personally I think a single exhaust setup is a more efficient setup but a twin system does have some merits.

The pipe wasnt actually blanked off though as you know, it was just fed back into the first pipe with a H fitting.

Was the twin system only on irs models, or did they have them on xr6-8 live axles?
I saw an xr6 for sale the other day, i pulled over and had a look, i check under the rear and saw a full twin 2'' exhaust system(not stock though) running around the diff. It was irs off course.

Would an i6 have any benefit from an x-pipe with a twin exhaust system?
edit: Like I know v8 can get more power from them, can this be the same with i6?
