Default How To Lower My EL

ive finally got some money together to get my car lowered and maby some rims (in a couple of weeks) but i just wanted to ask here first how hard is it to put new springs in my car im on a pretty tight budget for this month so i realy want to do it myself.
any advice would be great.
i wouldnt even mind paying someone on here to help me.

I'm not sure on the front springs as I've never taken them out.

The rear however are really easy. Heres the help I got from Kenaz when I did mine:

Jack the rear of the car up.
Put some chassis stands underneath.
Jack the diff up.
Undo the lower shock bolts.
Undo the top shock bolts.
Let the diff down.
Pull the shocks out.
Pull the springs out.

Jack car up
Take tyre off
Un bolt both brake caliper bolt's and remove caliper.
Un bolt ABS sensor
Un bolt tie rod ends and drop them
Un bolt uper and lower stub axle nuts from the control arms
Remover the stub axle
Un bolt the bottom sway bar link nut ( This helps to get the strut out )
Un bolt the lower strut bolt
Un bolt the 3 top nuts on the strut (top of shock tower's)
Remove the strut.

To remove the strut you have to apply some weight to force the lower control arm down so the strut can clear it the bottom of the strut has to come out frist.

Get a rattle gun
Un bolt the middle nut on top of the strut
Hold the top of the strut with your feet and make sure the bottom of the strut isnt facing anything as it springs off when you remove the nut. so prace your self when the nuts about to come off (This is the quick way)

If you want to do it the "safe way" go get some spring compressors and compress the spring while still in the strut.

Place you lowered spring in the strut
push the top hat so you get the nut to grab the thread
Tighten up with the rattle gun

Reverse the removal processes to reinstall.

Dont think I missed anything.

lol at rattle gun. : Just use spring compressors and be safe. For a first timer this would have been the section that shouldve been typed in bold.

I find it easier to not remove the stub axle from the vehicle, or undo the tie rods.
Just undo the brake caliper and hang up out the way so the hose isn't under stress, undo sway bar link from lower arm, undo top ball joint from top arm, undo lower and upper shocker bolts. Then you'll be able to lever down on the lower arm and manouvre the shocker/spring assembly out.
