The new Lefortovo tunnel just completed in Moscow, Russia tends to be a very dangerous place to drive. Check out the security footage of some crazy accidents that have occurred in the tunnel.

NOT a fake. Issue covered in other thread. The truck was doing a U-Turn from the centre crossway access.

http://www.ochevidec.tv/images/previewb/1134472317.jpg

You get this on our freeway roads where median U-Turn 'bays' designated for emergency services, are used daily as intersections to illegally access a service centre on the opposite side, or for just doing illegal U-Turns.

One of the reasons why we will NEVER see a higher speed limit than 110km/h on them, too much potential trouble.

IN the video The LINES are unbroken - so like here, you are not supposed to cross them, you can see the result of an indicatorless dope who crosses and causes another crash.

Russia would have been smarter to buld the tunnel with a continous right (slow lane) 2.0 - 3.0m shoulder like in Germany. Our new NSW tunnels under design right now mirror the Russian 'standard' (seriously). Think M5 East.

In this crash we can see the great performance of Jersey barrier and how man can fly!

Saw this at work today. You'd have to assume that there was something on the road (for a few of them anyway) as so many happen in the same spot. Apart from the obvious couple of d*ckheads, the rest aren't as easy to do as the video snapshot shows. It takes a concentrated lack of concentration to get it that wrong!!

Forget about "Russia with love" crap and have "Russia with death".
These people seriously can't drive. Aussie P plate drivers can do better than them. That my bet.
