154512_0.jpg Hello everyone.. Ive just bought this 1965 GT and it was originally from Australia and came to NZ with the then owners in April 1980. I understand it used to be green back in the day. I have engine and chassis numbers but it will probably be quite a mission to track down its history? |

Welcome to the forum and wow, what a great car. Always liked them in red.
I've got some ID details so if you'd like to know original colour/ trim, manufacture date etc post the details up or send them to me via PM and we should be able to work it out.

The info needed is the vin number on the drivers side strut top.
There is also a model number on the radiator support that will identify it as a GT, 440, deluxe etc. My image host isn't letting me load up the files I have so try here under restoration info: http://www.cortina-mk1.com/

the number stamped on the strut tower is not the vin that relates
to the engine 122 = GT engine the vin is on the radiator support panel which should be the same as the id plate which will include colour trim etc |
