I'm going tommorrow to look at a GT Capri. 1971 model which has been rebuilt from the ground up. Just wondering if there is anything I need to be on the look out for. Common problems. Just so I know what to look for in particular.
Oh yeah, if anyone knows of web sites which has articles, photo's, model details etc etc please let me know. Cheers |

My son has a 1970 Capri with a 9" & 302V8 windsor .
Check for rust around the top of struts, doors, sills, bottom of guards, roof & lift the floor coverings for rust as well as boot. Interior trim is expensive.Web site for the Victorian capri club is www.capricarclub.org.au Email is capricarclub@yahoo.com.au buickman |

Thanks buickman for your reply. I had a look at the car today. Its not actually for me. Gotta say it was in very good condition. Been Dyno tested at its pulling 108 at the wheels. V6 engine. Has only a few thousand k's on it since rebuild. I'll have to wait and see what happens from here, but I was impressed.
Oh yeah, all brand new interior. I don't think its done as original, but its very good. if my mate buys it, i'll get some shots. Cheers Buckie |
