Default Got my piping done :D

But it's not all on yet :P

The guy's gave it all to me pretty much in my hand, saying it all needed a good clean out and they'd run out of hose clamps so I'd have to go buy some myself. Doesn't really bother me, I payed $60 less than what I was quoted and also got a couple of other little odds and ends done :sm_headba

It's only 2", but it's very, very neat and well done. It looks and is a lot better than I expected, all I have to do now is get it all powdercoated when I can be bothered :yeees:

So yeah, now I have to go get some hose clamps and stuff tomorrow and then see how I go fitting it. I been wagging a few classes of late :S It's all for the best I guess lol.

Apparently they did AU_Steve's car yesterday, new piping and full new exhaust system? What did you get done Steve? :P :

Annnyways, I'll get it all on tomorrow hopefully then get some piccys etc. I recommend the guys down there, although I don't know why they did it in 2", but their workmanship is very very good and they even filled up my brake fluid and everything lol :

Oh and noone go to Ace Exhausts in Croydon. Those guys are dumb ****s. I checked out my exhaust today and it looks like Doug welded it up :hihi: It's going to cost me $500 to get it fixed up, which is like $50 over what I paid for the whole lot. I've already had the tip moved coz it melted my bar.

Doing it in 2" will give less lag, as the compressor outlet is 2" i'm guessing?

Get some pics up!!

Yeah, they'd have made it 2" due to the exit on the turbo being 2"
i guess it'd look weird going from 2" to 3" @ the cooler ;)

It's all IN!!!! I wrote a post before but my computer f**ked up hard so yeah.

Ash I need to give you another run!! It goes hard! I've put the rising reg to 30PSI and have the injected TB on. It's got the 2 injectors that were with the turbo kit in there, I think they're just standard but the spraying bit is different to the standard EA ones so yeah.

Flutter? YES!!! And it's maddd!!!! Sounds like a VL! Just need some minor tuning along with probably better injectors in the TB and I'm sweet. I reckon (don't want to be too optimistic) that with this diff (390km) and engine (350km) combo it's only going to be good for a mid to high 14. I'll have to take it to the track but.

Oh and my rocker cover gasket (silicone or some shit, we didn't have a gasket so improvised) ****ed up hard at the back exhaust side, something caught fire down the side of the block, only small, but I didn't hesitate to crack out the extinguisher. So now my engine's covered in powdery shit!!! I need a rocker cover gasket.

Anyways, pics later!

Nah I'm happy with where it's at Daniel :P

I'm glad you forced me in to getting it all done Dan! I remember the first night when we were playing with 1 injector, the hobbs switch and light taped to the windscreen, man that was crap but you still thought it had potential lol :

Here are the pics guys:

And here is a vid of the flutter

http://users.tpg.com.au/gillau/vid.3gp
With this vid you'll need a .3gp player, I think it might work in real player though.

It goes way better with the cooler, the flutter is mad!

PS sorry about the shitty quality of the pics.

the housing would have to be turned around so it faces down for something a bit more hidden, but i like it how it is now, looks good!

As Matt said, they would have had to turn the compressor housing round 180 degrees, but the guy said it would make it a lot harder to run the piping for him. I don't really care, seems to work very well. The pics make it look a bit retarded. I'll give it all a good wash tmrw and put some more pics up.

All I have to do now is get those TPS's working, it's affecting it heaps, along with changing the rocker cover gasket and fixing the exhaust leaks. All that and a good tune, which I don't think is going to be too hard as it seems to be running pretty well.

I also want to get my rear wheels on in time for the next CCC cruise and E-series one. If you read this Galapogos can you PM me the details of that place you said machines hubs, and a rough price on it? Otherwise I'm putting EF/L axles in for their longer studs and using spacers. I know Karl put a EF 3.45LSD in his EB, but I don't know what he did about the brakes. Anyone have a spare EF diff I can scab the axles from

Fair enough on the piping
how hard is it to turn the compressor housing aorund 180 degrees?
Certainly can't wait to see and hear it
with a tune you should be laughing

John, I don't know how hard it is and didn't really care to find out. The pipe would probably have hit the power steering lines and turbo oil drain back lines and would have had to come back up over the power steering pump due to it's shape.

Anyone remember this?;
