Hi All,
1. I have a few issues at the moment that I need assistance with. I have a 1997 Festiva. The 1st problem is that when I am stationary in traffic for long periods of time the car overheats. I have noticed that the fan does not work. I am trying to find diagrams on the web or somewhere where I can check and test how the fan operates. 2. I also have an issue with the idle in the car. Sometimes when I start the car it idles at high revs consistently and takes an eternity to come back to normal idle. Sometimes it doesn't. Other times the idle is erratic. I need some help with where to look at this as well. Can somebody help! PLEASE |

My '92 Magna used to do those exact same things. Only solution I figured out was to get rid of it and get a new car :P!!!!
Sorry I can't be more help mate...

Check to see if there is a fuse for the fan - is it blown ?
Check the wire from the fan - is there a disconnected plug ? Check the fan relay - if you dont know how, just try swapping it with one of the others . See an auto electrician
