Rumours are that the next generation Mustang can also be seen in the background.

Nice! You can see they've merged Kinetic styling with the 3 bar grille.
Wouldnt be surprised if thats the next Stang in the background. |

That is probably the best American styled sedan I've ever seen!

does this image mean that ford US is leaning towards adopting the kinetic design language of ford EU? We can only hope...

Maybe it IS the FG replacing the Taurus in the states. (Like Holden selling the VE as the G8). Or maybe it's just the media putting 2 and 2 together to make 5

Well i see the VOLVO & EDGE in that design , not a falcon at all?
just look how the front lights fit into the front fender & the bonnet of VOLVO . also the back fender & the roofline is from the Edge . Volvo are owned by FORD so why not copy one & call it a TAURUS This design is already 4 years behind it's time, they needed to be more agressive for it to work. the CEO said this is what it should have looked like : it would have been into it's 1st update if this was the first design. maybe it is a teaser to see what the yanks think of it, & the aussie left hook ones. Will the falcons end up being LINCOLN town car & ford crown vic ones? Last edited by fordfreak2; 10-04-2008 at 03:23 PM. |

It's hell of an improvement over the current Taurus, the styling has been watered down a fair bit from the Interceptor concept though.

Falcon will never be produced here and exported. The $AUD becoming more expensive and our high production costs means we will never make them cheaper than the US.
For the Falcon to make it in a foreign country, it will be built overseas, with all development done here. Exactly what GM are going to do once they have finished tooling up their plants in the US for the VE. |

On closer inspection I think that's just a clay model of the same car in the background...

And here's the same car in sketch. Can certainly see the European influence that the US have decided to use in the car. Fair bit of FG in it too.

Awful photo but I quite like the styling. Seems to be using the Mondeo queues, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
