Awesome stuff!

I'll introduce myself and my Escort!

My names Tim (easy to guess), 23, live in Newcastle, NSW. I own a Sno White 4 door RS2000. It has some mild mods, like a cam, extractors, and a 40mm Capri Weber.

It'll be under going alot of work this year, so I'll have lots to talk about with it!

I've put pictures in the Show and Shine section so I won't post them again, I think most Escort owners have seen it by now!

Tim

Good idea mate.

My names Troy (for those of you who didn't already know, 26, live in Deer Park, Western Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. I own two Escorts, both Mk IIs, a 1980 pine & lime 2 door 1.6L manual and a 1976 blue (don't know the actual colour yet) 4 door 2.0L manual GL Ghia rally pack.

The two door is stock, the 4 door has a short shit kit, but I have plans for them both.

My immediate plans are to finish getting the 4 door roadworthy, then registering it and using it as my day-to-day run about, then slowly changing a few things here and there (the usual suspects, extractors, exhaust, head work, and so on) while restoring the 2 door, which needs a lot of work. :(

I think by now everyone is sick of the sight of my Escorts, but if you want to see them, there are a few pics in this thread (first post)

Troy.

Good to have a section on the pom Fords - I have a Capri 3000GT in Diamond White and an RS2000 in Sno White ... both used on virtually a daily basis. Well, a couple of times a week anyway

well, my name is gerard (this sounds like an alcoholics anonymous meeting...) and i have a very yellow 2dr RS2000, a Sierra XR4i (2.8 litre V6), mrs RSgerry drives an AU3 XR6 and we bought the dog a laser wagon so that he doesnt mess the others up after going to the beach. just as well, as he has been sick a couple of times in the car and it doesnt matter :-)

i have started a new project, an Anglia Estate. i had a lot of fun doing the RS, i though i would have a crack at doing everything myself. so, i went to TAFE last year and did some panel beating. all the hinged panels have been stripped back, fixed up and etch primed. i have started to strip the fixed panels on the car back to bare metal and will be at TAFE again this year doing spray painting. the car is going to be blood orange. i will then get a 1600 escort as a donor car and swap the oily bits across. i will also learn upholstery and have a go at retrimming the interior. i will do teh brakes up, but pay to get them checked out properly and possibly the same with electrics. any welding that needs to be done on the body i will also get done as i am really crap with a welder. i will only make matters worse if i attack the car with something that hot :-)

Great that you can give the project a good go though! I'm planning on doing as much learning as possible on my RS2000, it's most of the fun and point of doing it all (although the end result will be worth it in its own regard no doubt!). Good on ya

Tim!
