Hi guys, was at work the other day in Ballina and after just coming up the stairs having just finished the pre-flight the captain says; "mind the store I've gotta take a tonka".
When he came back 10 minutes later warning me not to use the toilet up the back I figured what he meant. Have any of you guys heard of that one before or better yet, have you got any other "Australian-isms"?

There are heaps of silly sayings:
- A few sheep short in the back paddock - Not the sharpest tool in the shed - A trailer short of a B-double - I got a turtle head poking out - Got to lay some cable - Flat out like a lizard drinking Heaps more but you get the idea.

I made the mistake of saying 'yeah, nah' to a taxi driver in Thailand when he asked where we were going. It took a long time to explain it to him.

That clip would have come in handy when I have tried to explain that song to people when I'm travelling..... "Play something Australian that we would never have heard"..... I was thinking - that's not where the Illawarra is?, and sure enough it's the top comment ;)
