Default So... Hervey Bay is out of Petrol?

Everyone has seen the QLD floods on the telly and how devastating it has been.
Pretty much everyt town in the wide bay burnette and anywhere else is flooded.
Except for good ol Hervey Bay, but with Maryborough being flooded and roads blocked, Hervey Bay petrol stations haven't been able to get fuel trucks!

So i quickly headed out to see if i could grab some petrol to last the week, and only one servo was open, and there was a line up all the way down the street!
Mind you i got my V-Power and filled right up.

Has anyone else been effected by the QLD floods?

Hervey bay is now officially dry of petrol, all the servo's are closed unless you have a Gas car.
Milk is no where to be found and no one has bread!

Im going to keep my XC in storage for the next few days, hopefully after 5 or 6 days, people will be out of petrol and no one will be able to drive, it is then that i will drive my XC around town wearing leather clothes, sunnies, and listening to Fuel by Mettalica, as well as installing two huge tanks in my tray. Creating a scene reminiscent of that from Mad Max 2.

You should get out more.

The BP in queens rd is ok.
Caltex near the dump is ok.

Maryborough is still accessable as is Torbanlea, Burrum Heads, Childers, Bundaberg and north.......lots of petrol stations and depots out there.

You do realise that the road is only cut to the south and not to the north or west, Bundy has huge storage and a port to bring it in. Where do you think most of it comes from now?

The local "fuel shortage" is because there was panic after the media beat up and a lot of chicken littles clucking.......

I took a load of rubbish to the dump this morning and traffic was backed up to the maryborough road waiting to get fuel from Keene's servo.

And you believed it too.....

Plenty of petrol, diesel and LPG all over the place.

A couple of servos have run out of particular fuels which is actually not all that uncommon here at all even when there are no roads cut.

Don't worry about milk why drink something from another species thats not meant for humans why do you think they pasturise it and put stuff in it cause its not for us it for baby cows i'm sure you'll survive without milk.

Bread is **** easy to make just takes time.

And looks like you got fuel

Milk is pasturised and homogenised to kill off bacteria that may be present in it. This in turn increases shelf life.

I think everyone's getting a little freaked out. All the shelves at woolies are empty and heard a few reports of people fighting each other for whats left At least they still have a home to go to and they're worried about fighting over a can of food

Just drove home and there were about 6 cars at the BP near maccas all filling with PETROL, no line up, no panic.

There is a bread shortage but I suspect that it is due to the bread trucks not getting through and the local bakeries running at 200% while they still have flour.

Is there any risk still around for you lot?

Yeah i was working all night at cold rock and observed the calm nature of it. But all the servo's are shutting at 9 o clock. On my drive home i noticed all three in town where shut.

Which one? If it is the BP near the copshop that is just his usual price.
