G'day...On a wet , soggy day in the dark we just had at least 150 people in our tiny little Tassie town commemorating the ANZAC spirit that began with the sacrifice , and the suffering of days of war at Gallipoli on April 25 1915 and in many other places since then in theatres of conflict at the Dawn Service..
It never ceases to amaze me and fill me with gratitude and pride that fellow Aussies all around our fantastic country continue to show the great respect to those who gave up so much so that we can continue to enjoy peace and stability over 100 years later. I have no doubt that in every corner of every State , Territory and Provence in both Australia and New Zealand , in the heavy rain , people like us will pay due respect to our Army,Navy ,Air Force , nurses , aid workers , police and others that have given so much , many the ultimate price for freedom. . LEST WE FORGET......Cheers Rod... Last edited by roddy1960; 25-04-2017 at 07:16 AM. |

First time in many years I had the opportunity of attending our local service, what really bought tears to my eyes were the amount of very young children of different culture attending, this enforces our Anzac tradition.

Been going for over twenty years since I started reading military history. The local service went for a couple hundred to 10-20 thousand. We go for all veterans from all wars...
