Default V8SC daily drivers

I dont really know if this thread is worthwhile or not but after a conversation with my brother during bathurst it got me thinking.
What do the V8SC drivers drive as their daily cars and are they supplied by Ford/Holden at no cost?...
I remember reading an article a while back now about Ambrose receiving a new F-250 dual cab, and this was when he was still in Australia.
Anyways, just wondering if anyone else knew/cared about their cars of choice.

I went to school with Mark Skaifes kids and he used to dive brand new clubbys and GTS's and the like.

When I met Craig Lowndes just before Bathurst last year he too had a F250 (complete with child seats!). I don't know if this is still the case.

Actually lolz ... there were a total of 4 made, there was a PO1 which was given to Lowndes and which is now owned by a forum member ... then with the other 3, 1 was returned to have the 5.6Ltr V8 removed and had a 5.0Ltr installed (i don know why the F&@K someone would want to do that for) which GREATLY demotes it's value ... and 1 was sent to New Zealand ...

The T3 TL50, all three of them, are gonna be worth truckloads in 20 years.

Worth more than the GTHOs; only three ever built, limited run V8, the best of the AUs, LWB, and one of them owned by a guy who will could well be bigger than Peter Borck in a few years..

The most exclusive production car ever?

I think Mark Skaife still has road going Nissan Skyline GTR (Godzilla) from his Nissan days. Its jet black and unregistered, sits in the shed for the most part aparantly.
It was written in an article looking back at the Skylines, but i trust he has a brand new HSV or some description as a daily.

In another magazine he said his first car was a WB ute

That could be getting mixed up with the jet black R31 Skyline. Had a few custom bits, and a member from my other club just recently sold it- she had it for a while.

Mrs Richo had a black territory last time i saw it, but that was a year ago.....
Bargs had an Xr8 ute a year or two ago, but that most likely would have been updated by now.

Murph has an R8 (or rather i think it's Mrs Murph) they are about to get rid of I hear.........they are like fleet cars- once they hit 10,000 kms they swap 'em over - guess that means Paul Morris has a few more laps to do in the treddly before he gets a new one :evil3:

On Sunday morning of the Bathurst telecast Frosty mentioned that he was going to be driving the first FPV Cobra, was that only for a lap at Bathurst and/or as a daily driver too?

i can confirm Lowndsey did/possibly still does drive an f-250.one of the tech's at work recently moved up from the sunny coast and he used to work on it sometimes. at one point he also had an xr8 ute.

i remember an article in a magazine that said most of them get holden or ford fleet cars(like company execs) provided, but i think some of them also have there own..i'm sure at discounted prices.

just a side note- Winterbottom and Steve Richards visited the dealership after qld raceway on a promo tour. the drivers rocked up in a pair of f6 typhoons..but the promo girls and assistants turned up in a territory and ...wait for it....vz comonwhore wagon! complete with castrol/fpv stickers on it. the wagon was quickly removed to a more discrete location hehehehe.

The T3 TL's I thought there was only 3. SButler, Tornado or Shaynet can confirm this. They are the T-Series knowledge guys.

Not sure on the T3 TS50. Think there were a couple 100 at least. Tornado has a web site with heaps of information on all the cars http://tseries.us.tf/

Frosty drives a Territory, heard him mention it on an FPR team blue night, it was also mentioned at the Ford Fan Day at Sandown this year. He and the Mrs drove silver Focii for Ford's 'Motion' magazine, dont know if either was given/bought one though.

That was where I read it. In the article it said both he and Mrs Frosty drove a silver Focus each. Not sure the date of the mag, may have been a while ago.

I read recently that CL has a Turbo Territory Ghia which he claims suits his property much better than his previous XR8. Alot of the Ford contracted drivers either have XR's or Territory's. FPR contracted drivers would not doubt have access to FPV's.

I read an article on it a while ago
