Hey guys, got a '73 TC Cortina with the 2L motor, are the 200ci and 250ci I6's straight bolt in's? Or do you need to move mounts and everything else?

will bolt straight in from memory, I always wanted to drop a V8 in my 73 cortina.
What colour is your cortina, the 2L with a bit of work and the 3.9 diff ratio is a rocket though.

sorry to spoil your fun but AFAIK the TC/TD's had a flat firewall with the 4 cylinder models so if thats the case youd need to modify the firewall
the 6 cyl models had the firewall tapered to accomodate the 6 cyl in the TE model all the firewalls were the same in 4 cyl and 6 cyl. other things youd need would be.. cut out the front behind the radiator as he 6 cyl needed more room so the radiator was set back in the gap there. use 6 cyl engine mounts.. possibly move the gearbox crossmember back (i know the TE's in the 4 cyl model the crossmember was a bit forward to the 6 cyl model.) just a bit of heads up info that youd have to think about if you have a flat firewall the easiest way might be to get a 6 cyl TC corty and if you have excellent interior or whatever.. swap the interior over to the new shell.
