Default Crap places I've eaten at in the past 2 hours

Well i thought it would be a good idea to organise a breakfast get together for those staying in Bendigo so silly here thought I could find a perfect place............ how wrong was I?

Lets just say the service was less than ideal. I had my food pretty much thrown at me by the waitress, then in swear they were trying to poision me with their fruit salad, it took them over 20 minutes to get toast to someone and then when a complaint was made about the bad service, the verbal attack was launched by the manager on duty!!!!

So here is me feel really bad for organising a crappy breaky for AFF guys.... i think next time we will just stick to Maccas

Oh if you are going back to macca's for breakfast, stay away from their 'toast'.

I had it this morning, it is coloured like toast, flavoured like they say, but it was stone cold. not just room temp cold, fridge cold.

Their Apple and Cinnamon "Toast" tastes like the smell of my Territory. Yuck. Whatever happened to Raisin Toast and White Bread? I'll stick to the hotcakes methinks. Atleast they are fresh.

Well being maccas, I don't expect anything good. If I want toast cooked, I'll make it myself.

Even the crooks in the cells at Vic Pol stations, when they used to get toast, it was microwaved for them!! :dr_Evil:

Toast for 99.9% of the population means it should be hot, or at least warm, above room temp. Fridge cold is way off the mark. It's not difficult to do - it's something a child of primary school age can master

Yep....... it takes the cake as the worst place I have eaten today.
Well done to Pete for not telling them to jam their (a) toast that was 1 hour in the making (b) the butter that was literally liquid (c) the marmalade that looked mighty like strawberry jam and last but not least (d) the waiter that was obviously working to save up to go to personality school.
The location was nice but the food and attitude of the staff..and manager sucked the big one. We won't be going back there and I'll tell anyone who wants to listen to stay away.
Galaxy... you were right

A good place to go is the restaurant part of puggs mahones, they do breakfasts, went to tea there last night, its good. The only good thing about the boardwalk is the view. Theres a few good places around, you just gotta look for them.

Sorry to hear guy's, look's like the place is still the same, there really isn't any good places in Bendigo that do a good/cheap breakfast, I know some really good places that the meal's are great and very big for what you pay but that's an evening place not for breakfast.

It woudnt be hard for all concerned, to make a complaint to said restaurant and give them you thoughts. May be they have weekend staff that may get a ' whipping '. I wouldnt just cop it sweet, maybe they should just be made aware of the incomptenance concerning their staff. Surely better staff are available, or is it owner run. Any way make it Known or go back in a couple of weeks trash the dump. Gee im getting harsh in my old age.

I normally dont care too much either way, as long as I get fed! But the treatment that some members received was unbelievable.

I certainly wont be going there again.

Made all the worse by the fact that things were organised and prebooked, and they still treated us as though we had walked in in the middle of rush hour.

Melz you did all the right things with what you organised, you cannot prepare for attitudes like that.

yeah well done mel u tried your best it's just that hospitality people in certain restraunts here in bendigo need to have a couple of meals throw at them they are facking useless as we found out today, there were a few of us that had good service, hot quick meals, but when there are others who have to wait 1hr for a piece of toast it is a bit of BS... personally i think the boardwalk can shove it in ur fruit salad

Was great to see all the people there that turned up. Not your fault mel, you did well not to get upset with that cow that wouldn't give you your toast.

I was happy with Maccas and those iced coke things first time ive had one of them!

Melz: Well done to you and everyone who organised the day. As has been said above, No one can plan for poor service, ИИИИty attitude and the likes, its certainly not your fault!

As an invited "outsider" i had a blast and it was great to meet a whole new group of great people!

Thanks to all involved, was a great day!
