Hey, just wondering if it's possible for you to add a multiple-quote button? I have used it on another forum, and it makes quoting to multiple uses very quick and easy.

That is a function of a later version of VB so if it is to be implemented then it will be after the "big upgrade" but after all the fun russellw has had over the last few months I suspect it may be a while....

If you're willing to create said multi-quote system without bringing down the whole of AFF and thus, deal with the wrath of a very P/O'd community.... go for it

(P.S. You might want to run a stand alone machine or virtual machine with AFF running on it, NO links to the outside word, and test it on there before going live.... we wouldn't want to deprive people of precious ford'ness :P )

I don't get what your trying to say. Its a feature of vBulletin 3, it would only need implementing. Just gives you a button beside the existing "QUOTE" button to select a number of posts to quote in your reply.

vB3 consists of multiple versions all the way up to 3.8.x - the multiquote facility was added in 3.6 I believe and we are still sitting on 3.0.8 so it isn't just a matter of turning it on.

It's not rel time chat, just the ability to quote multiple posts in the one post without all the copy and pasting.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic NC1183, but after just trying to code what was to be a "simple" program for work, all I can say is that I loath/detest/despise anything to do with A.) programming, especially web-oriented stuff.
B.) Other peoples code.... I'd rather write it from scratch

Edit: Agreed though, multi-quote would be cool
Also: slightly drunk, uni assignments suck!
