Hey guys.
Went to the wreckers today and sitting outside was a smashed up EA Brock and i asked the guy about it and he said it is the bosses and if he doesnt want it im taking it! But to me it just looked like a EA S-pac with some extra badges. What do you guys think?

Too be honest, they just look like normal EAs, with a few extra goodies.
Only thing special about them IMO anyway, is they have Peter Brock's name on them. |

kit, suspension, wheels, worked engine, exhaust... they're an awesome car and if you can get hold of them, good ones are only going up in value |

OMG.....another one.
There are heaps of threads in the e series section, and google will give you the info you want. They would almost be classed as an investment now. Quote:

When my old girl was in the market for a car (2001) we test drove a EA Brock. they drive great and they are a very nice car. She ended up geting an EF XR6 anyways.
Becouse? As nice as it was she figured it was 'only' an EA and the XR6 was a newer car, as we had a EB at the time. |

Are you saying that Brock + Falcon = Winner? Because as we all know he was a great driver and person, and everyone knows that falcons are good.:hihi: Or, are you saying that because Brock was primarily a Holden driver then why would you want a Ford in his name? So perhaps not "enuff" said. If you guys dont see the value in this car then you are insane. Go have a look at ebay, even diecast cars with his signature are pulling crazy money. Think of Brocks as your BA DJR.

Not a bad car....for an EA.
Then again I put them in the HSV Astra or Brabham Torana catagory. Different but not really collectable. Chrispy |

I think if they were an eb/d/f/l this question wouldn't be asked, its the stigma of the car being an ea . I'm sure they've all had the headgaskets and auto's replaced by now,get over it.

I saw a nice silver ea brocky at the plex last time i raced the eb, it only pulled a 16.1 or 16.3, not real fast for a 5 speed manual.Definitely a piece of history there.

There was a red one for sale looked like it had just come off the show room floor in town the other night for sale. 230,000 on the clock ran like a dream 4k! This was befor he died actually so if i knew he was gonna die i would of bought the damn thing. Do they even have a worked engine? Extractors and an exhaust? Not a bigger cam or anything?

I think it has a custom cam, but nothing to right home about; but thats easily fixed. I think they also has some funky twin cat setup.
Someone buy my EL so I can get a Brock, all this talk has sparked my interest!

Some people may think "It`s just a EA S-pac with some badges and a signature." but it will be worth more in the future unlike a EA S!
Great investment.

Is there an option on the poll for POS....
they produce hardly more power than a regular multipoint... and is a half a**ed attempt at a brock vehicle when you compare it to HDT's.... brock apparently only did the falcon because he was angry at holden for not supporting some magnetised box for the suspension on the Calais directors ...its what i read in a magazine anyway...they arent worth f/all cos no one's heard of them and to me you could almost compare it to a falcon with a chev motor in it...my 2 cents and opinion only |

They are not going to bring in cash like a HO (haha, excuse the pun) but their value will increase. But like you said, you read it in a magazine so it must be true.

i wasnt much of a fan before, but earlier in the year at a car show there was a 250rwkw EA Brock falcon, since then ive thought of them as a real icon.

I honestly dont think they are that special. Probably a more modern equivalent of a xr6. Better Suspension, touch better brakes and a lil bit more power.
However, I do think Brock did put his name on the EA for the wrong reasons, especially his falling out with HDT and the whole polariser saga (and lets face it- It might work in theory but a car doesnt need it) he got offered a chance for his name to still be in the "performance" sector of cars. Not a bad car for its time, but i dont see it being a collectable.

rather inteligent post there! jayba....
all i can say is....ever driven one?...... i have and it was a suprise thats for sure.... was a fully optioned brock ghia, sounded good, went well enough, handling was nice... and the brock kit is one of the nicest kits for the ea-ed's out there - no outrageous wings or vents, just a nice classy kit and lip spoiler dont knock em without driving them....just cos you read something in a magazine doesnt make it gospel! |

I drove a brock ea when they were new it was a very good car for its day.
Money meant we bought a 3.9i single point EA s pack. A car that lacked the reliabilty of a brock lada. Dont get me wrong I love FoMoCo product it is simply the 3.9 ea was not there finest hour.
