Default Cars we are racing........

Guys, this weekends AFF meet will give us an ability to showcase some new stuff we have been getting into here at Bluepower.

We have 2 AU's making over 150rwkw going to be raced

We have a new Positive displacement prototype blower by AAV industries (you'll hear more about them as time goes on) and it is on a BA Boss making over 360rwkw, and we are making it L I G H T E R. should be a fun ride, and an attempt at a 10.

We tuned a 545inch XA Coupe this morning and yanked 380rwkw out of it, should be interesting.

We have a BF ZF6spd XR8 ute, only mods being headers, cats and Bluepower edit.

Dont forget to come and say hi guys! :

Hey buddy - yep, one of them is the "talked about" AU, it should do the job nicely..........

The 10 sec barrier is the one we are aiming for with our blown BA.

Yes, this was only my second time out. I was only following instructions from the guy standing on the track, and feel he was at fault for me red lighting. There was no way I would ever beat the car that won on the night, it certainly is a powerhouse. It seems that they expect that every person who hits the track understands how it works. I had a great day (with the exception of some comments made by a particular spectator who said I was a dumb b****h), but overall 99% of people are supportive with help and advice on the day. I am stoked with my car and hope to do further things with it, as I think this may become addictive.

Taking nothing from the victory off the yellow Torana, both misses and I weren't too impressed that the lighting on lane two, killed your chances. I noticed lane two stuffed up a few times on night....Hopefully third time lucky!!

Very interested to know how this car faired on the nite...(a low 13 or something???sorry could be wrong). Appears to be a killer effort for minimal mods. Also curious to know set-up for this run ie. street tyres?/ any weight reduction?
We have already seen how great the ZF/turbo combo is, it's cool to see a couple boss/ZF's rockin' as well!!!!

13.4 at 105mph. Full street trim. Spare tyre etc still on the car and even tow bar. The dunlops got me to a 2.0 60"
Unfortunatly I only ran the car out the back door twice, as the only other passes were in the DYO and did a 13.4 at 98mph. So I seriously think a 12 with some decent tyres will happen next time out.
Awesome work by Chris.

I know who said it!, and all I have to say to the person involved is.
I don't recall seeing you out on the track paticipating, its all too easy to stand on the sidelines and criticise not only my wife, but the car as well.
Let me tell you this, I was standing only a few feet away and heard most of what was said.
Next time I will not be so tolerant!!

One thing i will say here and now......

I have been drag racing for some time now, and its not easy to roll onto a racetrack and "make every pass count".

When I make a mistake, i get down on myself because i should know better. What i wont accept is people being down on other people for having a go.

Yeah like me lol. It got back to me that I got bagged out for the way I did my first couple of runs and that I didn't "belong" there etc... Funny because I took out a trophy for my first time out so I couldn't have been that bad :P

But truth is, it almost put me off going for another try but I decided not to let it get to me. Some people need to remember that 'first time out' means exactly that! We're not all 'automatic' experts.

And then you wonder why (especially) females don't wanna give racing a go. Comments like what Tracey copped, don't help.

I tell you something, If I ever find out who these people are, and they are forum members, I will make sure that they are permanently banned from the forums and every one of their posts wiped.

Everyone is out there to have fun, and I think its great to see the girls out there having a go.
