From my first knowledge of the GT40 in 1966, it has taken me 50 years and retirement to actually get up close and personal with some original examples. Thought maybe others would appreciate a few photos:
My photos of GT40s I have seen: https://photos.app.goo.gl/4YTMsFbBB09B0THy2 Anyone else feel free to add photos to this thread. Maybe there is a specific gallery somewhere? Enjoy!

Bowdens use to have a real one. While we were having a tour of their museum they started the GT40 for us. Weren't allowed to stand behind it due to the flames the exhaust shot out when it first fired up, and was it loud in a very pleasant way.

Just saw a new book release - on one of the GT Mark II's in the 1966 Le Mans:
https://www.pitstop.net.au/browse/it...d-GT40-Mark-II It would certainly detail the major mods which make the Mark II such a different car. Looks like maybe a sister team car to the one at the Indianapolis museum in my album in the first post. Cheers.

One of the clients my boss dealt with was on the GT40 owners' register. He rang one day and asked if it was him. He responded, "Times are tough, the toys are gone, get your ***king boss on the phone". Raw nerve most likely. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
