Hey Hey,
AU2 Sr sedan 5 speed manual running Xr6 fuel pressure reg, Xr6 HP Ecu. Without the accelerator it wont start, slight accelerator it starts fine. Was worse before i fitted the xr6 FPR. Hot starts like it should. I've plugged it into IDS and no codes have been logged. Temp sensor is fine Oxy sensor is fine Knock sensor is fine Edis sensor is fine All sensors read fine. New leads, coil, plugs, All filters, All oils. Pump primes properly with correct pressure. No gasket leaks. Doesn't use any fluids. Idea's ? myself and ford are lost. Can post a video tomorrow night.

inspect the throttle body IMO. wiring dirtyness, im more of a carby oldschool person cant really help much this modern efi engines...a friends rodeo had the exact same symptoms though, and that turned out to be a blown fuse for something. thats all i can really remember though.

I've cleaned the idle speed controller and the throttle body. All plugs are connected and secure, Fuses are also fine.
Its just not getting enough fuel for cold starting but i don't understand why not.

The PCM is sending mixed signals for cold starting. Fitting a known good PCM during the week to see what happens.

Have you checked the sock on the fuel pump to see if that is clogged?

Also, just a thought, you might try:
1/ when cold, before you try to start, select the ignition key to ON position and wait about 5 seconds... 2/ then try to start... Cheers |
