 : Hey guysjust looking for some advice, i lately got my license suspended because of P plates, my last recorded speeding fine was in 2005 and i have lost the rest of my demirit points of not showing p plates. My license got suspended, and had lost my job., i then got caught driving to a relatives to get a printout of my resume for an interview occuring the next day. i was on my green p plates with 2 months before i can apply for full license. The police did checks and they are sending me to the local court. should i plead guilty?? what are the consequences that people have faced similiar in this situation. any advice on this matter would be great. |

You did the crime, you do the time.
What do you expect man, driving when suspended. If ya ask me you got what's coming. Man up and cop it on the chin aye. Worst you'll get is 3-6 months loss of lisence I'd imagine.

Plead guilty. You were driving whilst suspended but also explain the reason why. It is against the law to lie in court. You could find yourself in very hot water if you are caught out lying.

you'll lose it for 6 months most likely. unfortunately its the law, and if your gonna break it, your gonna get caught. whats so hard about putting your plates up anyways?

Police/the courts are way too soft on people driving without a licence.
This is where they need to come down hard on repeat offenders and yes 99% of people caught driving without a licence are repeat offenders. It clearly shows the lack of respect these people have towards the law. |

You know you did the wrong thing, and did it intentionally.
What defense do you have? Lying when you know you've purposely done the wrong thing to me is a weakness. Also, pleading not guilty with no defense can potentially land you in deeper poo. Plead guilty, take what comes, and call it "a lesson".

bad luck man. should have gotten someone to drop it off / public transport. i currently don't have a license and you won't find me anywhere near my car.
