Hi all.
Thought I'd make a thread for some hearty discussion! If you had the choice of the following cars to own if won a lottery which would you pick? (MUST not be based on value. Just what you want in garage/driveway to drive and love - resale irrelevant etc. What you want no questions asked). 1. GTHO 2. FPV GTF 3. Shelby AC Cobra 4. Mustang GT 5. FPV Sprint 6. GT40 (original) 7. Others welcome! Let's not get caught up on what's a true Ford etc it's just a fun thread in these strange times ok : ) Me? Shelby AC Cobra. Damn I love them. Awhile back i would have said an XYGS as many many moons ago i had a real cracker but like a lot of young fellas i had about as much foresight as a ping pong ball and for years did the "i wish blah blah" these days if i had the coin it would be an XA/XB GT coupe, odd how things change over the years as back when i didnt much like em . Everytime i see one now If there was a second option it would be this as in this particular car,the time/money blah blah that went into making this thing happen is nothing but a labour of love, bloke that owns it is 73ish,when he drives it hes 23ish

I've already got the car.
If I won lotto I'd build a better garage for it and collect a heap more crap to make it feel more at home. I think they call it Automobillia nowadays and that'd make me a connoisseur

After I was better and able to drive again my insurance paid up . I added a grand or so and replaced the L with a four door GL Escort and I loved that little blue car . Lots of kays later I traded it in stupidly on a bloody VC Commodore . Ended up regretting that . Years later I got a very second hand Escort Ghia with the 2.0 ..Rough around the edges but it was a great drive too .. Escort is definitely IMO one of the best Fords the company ever built and I used to drool over the RS 2000 and the 2.0 Rally Pack. Tell you what though , after about a year of owning the 1.6 GL I took it into a place that re routed the ADR27 shemozzle for me. From that day quite literally she just ran so much better and more economically too . Yours looks like something pretty special and I guess she's been a long term keeper by the sound of it .. cheers .. Last edited by roddy1960; 20-04-2020 at 07:35 PM. |

I'm biased but I loved my BA Turbo.
I love my R36 but it's not at BA-T levels yet. I flicked cars in 2 years usually but I kept my baby 10 years!! (power steering pump leaks!! Coil Packs!! Oil line clogged blew turbo!! : ) Was a Great car for the money at time but not worthy of this list obviously |

XC Cobra made to look like one of the Bathurst race cars in 79. Would also consider Mad Max interceptor from the 1st movie.

One of the Saleen Mustangs from around 2005 or 2006 wouldn't go astray either. S281 I think they were.

First wish would be a garage.
Billy Gibbons, 33 3 window Eliminator would be nice. or one of his rat rods.

Only seen a few times but well, fair to say it must be same one. Looks better in person. Old sure but amazing i reckon |
