Default Throw-away cars

Like we all are I'm very passionate about keeping my car in top shape (maybe even paranoid). It was suggested by someone that I buy a "throw-away" car. A cheap bomb that I can drive everyday and not worry about damage while I keep the Focus good in the garage. Only taking it out on speical occations.

So I was wondering how many others have these "throw-away" cars?

I guess you could call my Laser a 'Throw-away' car now, however my Brother is now driving it, as he has P-plates now and demands the independance. which means that the Fiesta is now daily driven.

But i did buy the Laser 5 years before the Fiesta... and is still in top shelf condition, besides some stone chip on the bonnet ... and the car park nicks and scratches, which i am not to concerned about.

Tho the Fiesta does get the garage spot

I laugh at people who have expensive cars that they feel they can't or shouldn't drive. Unless its a 'collectors item' sort of thing, which a folk-*** will never be.
Just drive the bloody thing.

Most cars are a throw away item they are not built to last for ever enjoy it while its good before bits and pieces start failing and the car you wanted to preserve is the cheap bomb that you can drive every day.The flash new car today is the cheap throw away bomb in 10 years time

You bought the car to enjoy it right? Enjoy it! Then again you'd be hit with all the maintenance costs of having two cars instead of the one
