Hi, just wondering if anyone can tell me if the front rotors are the same for the BA XR6 and BA XR8, Mate has some XR8 rotors that I was thinking about putting on my XR6 as mine need to be machined(his already are).

Yes they are both 298mm it is only the upgraded brake kits that are different in the BA's.
