Default Freeeekin parking bulbs!!

Ok, i have no problem changing the regular H4's, but these parking bulbs are impossible for me to change!

I have read the Parklamp bulb in the technical resources, but it really didnt help? LoL

I get the large rubber boot off the lamp back face, but then it says remove the smaller one?

I dont see another one? At least not on the parkers, i see one on the highbeam, but why would i wanna take that off?

Any hints?

Cheers

It alongside the Lowbeam globe, when you remove the boot to the side you should see the parker holder. the Globe you sits in the holder, no spring clips. Yes they are a PITA to change but you should be seeing it pretty easy. Just follow the wiring.

You have absolutely no sympathy from me on this until you have tried it on an XR. Then you will be inventing swear words.

I find it easy enough, it's just getting it out! Doesn't help being left handed!

I got the LHS out fine, now the RHS is a C**T in front of the battery.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Prolly would be easier to remove the battery, but i so cannot be bothered

I have been trying for around 15-20 mins AT LEAST!

My back is sore, my wrists are cut (looks like i've been in an emo mood and slit my wrists!)

GODDDAMN YOU FORD, GODDDDDDDAMN YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Btw, reading the instructions for the XR

AYE AYE AYE

That would drive me loco

No need to remove the battery - just undo the holder and shift the battery towards the engine a bit - should give you enough room to get to the parker.

The easy way (in terms of access to the parker) to do it is to remove the headlight altogether and then do it. In the 20 minutes you've wasted, you could have had the headlight out, parker replaced and headlight back in.

Yeah, now i know for next time just to take the headlight off

Thought it would be a bit easier...

I ended up getting the right one in, tested it.. worked fine then when i snapped it back into place in the headlight assembly, it decided not to work.. OK.. i had the s**ts by now so i pulled hard on the parker and the parker light actually dropped off into the headlight.. Still sticking by my my decision to not take the headlight on, i then spent 15 minutes with chopsticks trying to get it out until i came up with the idea of double sided tape.. lol..

As was said on wogboy or fat pizza or something woggy.. "there is nothing that shtikky tape cant fix"

Eventually got it out, plugged it in and all is good now

End of my saga

Do it in ten minutes now, like the fifth time ive done it. First time I dropped the clip into the innards. Involved me removing bumper, headlights and the whole shebange to find.
