Default FPV & XR Owners Club 10th Anniversary

Hi Guys & Gals

The Committee has been working furiously over the past few weeks on some of the events that are planned for the celebration of the club's 10th Anniversary next year. The main focus at present is organising a Gala Dinner around May with a few Special Guests and surprises in store for the night. At the moment we have 90% secured a location and can hopefully reveal some of the plans at the next General Meeting on Tues 5th Dec.

Please watch this space for updates and if you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate either Keith vicepres@fpvxrclub.com or myself president@fpvxrclub.com

Sean

Just an update........ Keep your eye on the website

As the club celebrates it's 10th birthday :party3: in 2007, the committee have organised a celebration dinner to mark the occasion. Marked as formal, the night will have a bevvy of celebrities, 3 course meal, entertainment and an auction. Keep your eyes on the website and club magazine for updates but we can confirm the following;

When: Saturday 12th May 2007
Where: Sandown Raceway
Cost: $120 per person.
Time: 7pm-12pm
Dress: Formal

This is guaranteed to be a fantastic night, and members can pay off their tickets. Contact Anthony to arrange a lay-by, however please be aware all monies MUST be paid by 1st May.

So, shine those shoes and prepare to "frock up" for what will be a fantastic night...........

Okay time for another update......

Your 10th comittee have been working very hard....

Confirmed are;
John Bowe
Allan Moffat
Tom Gorman
Steve Richards

MC for the evening is Glenn Ridge
Auctioneer is Bill Welwood

There are over a dozen auction items including signed Allan Moffat memorabilia, tyre voucher from the tyre factory, 4 point harness from Meridian, and signed V8 Supercar items. Add to that a plethora of raffle prizes, and it's bound to be a corker!

There are 10th anniversary items for every attendee to take home, and the club is in the process of designing a 10th anniversary polo- which will be heavily subsidized.

It's a 3 course dinner with drinks included and a band to keep you grooving through the night.

You can pay your tickets off, but RSVP to Keith or KarynASAP......... please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

We plan to have an absolute ball....... so whilst we are merrily drinking away you will attempting to get some shut eye with a rather large smelly man snoring next to you so loudly you cannot hear the movie....... and the lovely LA on the other side using your shoulder as a pillow.........

What a great night, although I do feel sorry for the poor buggers that had to sit on the Oran Park table.

Am in the process of doing just that task right now..... :

The night was a fantastic one- our Panel of experts (John Bowe, Allan Moffat, Steve Richards and Tom Gorman) were great, and stayed on well after their duties were done for a chat with the members, signing tickets and plenty of pics.

The band were great, the boys were very handsome and we girls frocked up a plenty!!!!!!

I know of quite a few sore heads this morning, but it was worth it.

Firstly thanks to the Committee for all of your hard work in organising a FANTASTIC night that will not be forgotten for some time to come. Also to the special guests that came along for the evening Allan Moffat, John Bowe, Steve Richards and Tom Gorman thank you and Glenn Ridge did a great job as MC for the night.

I hardly recognised most of the members that were there due to the classy clothing that everyone was wearing and not one person wearing a race shirt at a club event - now that is a first!!!!!!!

I am sure that there is going to be a few posts on about the night to follow this as well as the photos on the website (thanks Kaz) and if you have any photos of the night that you would like to add please send them through to Karyn.

Once again thanks to all who came along to make this a memorable night, as well as the sponsors and supporters of the night who contributed to the Auction, Raffle and Door Prizes.
