Default Licence plates for my FG rejected LOL

"100th post yay"

They regret to inform me that my application was unsuccessful but they took me $335 anyway.

"Departmental Plates policy currently stipulates that character combinations closley resembling the make or model of a vehicle cannot to be released"

Dam. I was more worried about getting rejected for having "sex" in it rather than xr6.

SEXR6 is what I applied for.

I woner if SEXR6T would get accepted >.<

Quite contrivoursal as I have seen lots of cars driving around with "SSV" or othershit relating to vehicle around.

Sounds dodgy to me.
When I bought my Phantom BA XR6 i bought PHANTMXR6 Plates and they were ok.

Maybe you should try puting a space between a couple of the letters and give it another go.

This one came in to effect at the beginning of the year.

I tried to order FG FPV and a couple of others.... all were knocked back.

Funny because they checked the database and showed as available. So I put the purchase threw, but got knocked back for the XR6 containing reason.

Does your friend wanna sell them to me :P

its to basically stop people from buying new car plates and then putting em up for sale in the quokka for 5 grand, they are obviously sick of people buying HSV GTS or 05 BA GTP...

Gotta nickname mate??? either that or come up with something catchy...

What a joke! They shouldnt be able to block plates unless they are derogitory!

I can understand if the carmakers made a complaint RE: Copyright laws but apart from that its utter BS!

ive seen quite a few holdens with plates like that, and a few beemers. neighbours had a VY clubsport R8. plates were VY R8. another had a maloo, plates were HMA-L00. aswell as BMW2C(now on a new M3)

theres a very tastey VE SSV around the hills area. its silver with HSV GTS rims and brake package and a full exhaust+more. the thing just looks so good - plate is SSV
