Like many others, I love browsing FFAU from work - however cop a little flak when people see the fordforums.com.au banner with all the big advertising. I was thinking about how we could set up an 'under the radar' version of FFAU.
Other forums/boards such as digital broadcasting australia (dba.org.au i think it is) have a text mode. Whats the thoughts?

Harder all right, no new posts button, not bad if you want to quickly get some where and check a few things though.

Try this:
Install the Firefox browser and the Adblock plug-in. Then use Adblock to block the following: www.fordforums.com.au /images/fordforums_banner.jpg www.fordforums.com.au /ads/ Obviously without the spaces (which I had to add to stop them getting changed into links). I've got that setup right now and there's no ads and banner but you still get all the buttons and smileys. Last edited by WeirdEL; 01-07-2005 at 12:54 PM. Reason: Un-url the URL's! |
